Footprints attended 293 children and their parents in Palugo

Palugo is 28km from Quito and is in the parish of Pifo. We were able to establish contact with the the Buen Pastor Church in Palugo, who were very interested in Footprints. It was established to carry out this program at the “Pifo” school for 293 students and their parents on the 15^th of March.

A talk for the parents as well as a separate talk for the children were given about the prevention of child abuse, trafficking of minor and domestic violence. With our puppet friends Archiblu, 4 Pelos y Tostito the children learned to say NO to violence, NO to bullying, NO to abuse and NO to drugs.

When the talks were finished, the local volunteers handed out Archiblu´s activity page and the bags containing socks, shoes and a towel to each of the kids. After receiving there gift, the children went to were the volunteers were waiting to wash their feet, and put on talcum powder as well as their new socks and shoes.
