The 15th of March Footprints attended 473 children in Otón de Vélez

On the 15^th of March, we carried out Footprints in Otón de Vélez, located in the parish of Yaruquí. In this locality we worked with the Beraca Church as well as the “Jesús Ordóñez G.” school to carry out this program for 473 children and their parents.

When the neighborhood directive board heard about what we were planning on doing, they offered for us to use the communal house for the event. This is where we carried out a talk for children and another for adults about the prevention of child abuse, trafficking on minors and domestic violence.

On finishing this event, the volunteers handed out Archiblu´s activity page and the bag with a pair of shoes, a pair of socks and a towel. Due to the fact that it was raining, the quantity of children and the lack of space, we did not get to wash the children’s feet this time.
